Welcome Families!
One of the most important things to me, as a teacher, is to keep in contact with family members about what is going on in the classroom. My goal with this blog is to provide updates, at least twice a week, about what we are up to. It also allows you, the families, an opportunity to comment on the events! I'm looking forward to sharing our classroom life with you and hearing all of your thoughts!
For those of you who have come here to learn about SON Shine, here's a bit of information for you. SON Shine is a Christian-based preschool located at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills. We serve both three and four year-olds. We're partnering with Lake Mills Community Schools to be a part of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program for the 2012-2013 school year. This means we'll be able to offer free preschool for our enrolled four year-olds! In order to be a part of this program, we have to meet many high-quality standards. By doing so, we're able to offer many wonderful opportunities to our preschoolers.
Mission Statement
The mission of SON Shine Preschool, a partnership of the staff, parents, and community, is to provide an opportunity for students to develop into strong, caring future citizens by individually recognizing each child’s strengths and promoting strong academic and personal growth in a loving, Christian environment.
